FAQ - Shipping, Returns & Gear Questions

Where does Cycle Touring Life ship from?

All orders ship from our Canadian warehouses in Nova Scotia and Toronto. Most orders go out the same or next business day, and you get a tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.

Do you ship to the USA?

Yes. We ship across Canada and to the USA, and shipping is free on orders over $50. Prices on the site are in Canadian dollars, which usually works out to a pleasant surprise for American customers at checkout.

Are you an authorized WOHO dealer?

We are the official North American importer for WOHO XTouring bikepacking and bike touring gear, as well as ERRO touring bags. When you buy WOHO from us, you are buying from the source, with real warranty support and stock on this side of the ocean.

What is the difference between bikepacking bags and panniers?

Panniers hang from a rack and carry more, which makes them the classic choice for paved, long-haul touring. Bikepacking bags strap directly to your frame, saddle and handlebars with no rack needed, keeping the bike lighter and narrower for gravel and singletrack. Plenty of riders mix both: a saddle bag and frame bag up front of a rear pannier setup. If you are torn, our bundles pair bags that are proven to work together.

What size WOHO frame bag fits my bike?

The XTouring frame bag comes in Small (2.75L), Medium (4L) and Large (4.7L). Measure the length of your top tube along the front triangle: most gravel and touring frames in the 51 to 56 cm range take a Medium. Small suits compact frames and full-suspension bikes, and Large fits bigger frames with room to spare below the top tube. Our size and capacity guide has exact dimensions for every bag.

Are WOHO XTouring bags waterproof?

The DRY series (full frame bag, dry bags, top tube DRY, panniers) is fully waterproof with RF-welded seams, meaning no stitch holes for water to find. The standard XTouring bags are water-resistant and shrug off road spray and light rain, but for river crossings and all-day downpours, choose DRY.

How do I break in a Brooks leather saddle?

Ride it. Most B17 saddles take 300 to 800 km to mould to your sit bones, and there is no shortcut worth taking. Apply a thin coat of Brooks Proofide before your first ride and again every few months. Avoid soaking the leather, and use a rain cover in wet weather. The Cambium has no break-in period at all if patience is not your thing.

Which bikepacking bundle should I choose?

Match the bundle to your trip length. The Day Tripper covers single-day rides, the Weekend Warrior handles one to three nights, the Credit Card Tourist suits light multi-day trips where you sleep indoors, and the Complete 2+ Week Bikepacking Holiday carries a full camping setup. Bundles save up to 35% compared to buying each bag separately.

What is your return policy?

We stand behind everything we sell. Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, and if something arrives damaged or not as described, we will replace it or make it right. Full details are in our refund and return policy, or email info@cycletouring.ca.
